  • Political pain

Seriously not looking forward to 7mths of ongoing political campaigning from both sides of politics.

I am not fond of either party. I’m not even sure what they stand for anymore because let’s face it- their policies are almost the same. They’re supposed to stand for different things. One’s meant to be more to the left, the other more to the right. But these days, policies are driven by “today’s” public sentiment and they both veer somewhere in the middle.

Our governments aren’t really “thinking” about our future, they implement things based on what’s happening today because they’re not going to be around tomorrow to reap the benefits.

Any policies that do come in are half assed anyway…

Actually, i lie. the current government did enact a new set of laws that… well.. it’s almost kinda pointless.

Any tree hugger hippy would be happy about the introduction of the Carbon tax, although since it’s implementation, I really haven’t seen a reduction in the amount of pollution contributed in our atmosphere, although our economy hasn’t exactly collapsed because of it.

It’s pointless if it doesn’t penalize the environmental killing companies, but if it did, industries would probably leave/collapse or threaten to leave etc. But not financially penalizing them like  what the tax is intended to do, doesn’t really change anything or how businesses go about polluting..

But that’s beside the point…and im not up for some political debate to whether it’s a good tax or a bad tax.

In reality, I’m not as GREEN as I can be (let’s be honest here- i drive to work every day and i refuse to take public transport and a bike is something i prefer to run over than ride). But i am green in other ways i.e i dont take 40 minute showers even though i can.

But the next 7 months…. having to listen to either Julia Gillard (oh man, her voice is annoying) or Tony Abbott (why couldn’t the Liberals balls up- vote him up and instill Malcolm Turnball as leader??!?!? whyyy??!!??!) drone on and on and on.

Politics has become boring, actually im not sure when exactly it ever became interesting.

Im almost contemplating about doing a donkey vote…because either side is crap..

  • progress?

    so the chemo started yesterday…

so far- no side effects…from the chemo itself but they say in a months time my mum would probably be bald.

She is however suffering a bad case of side effects from this other medication that shes been vomiting a lot *sadface*

today was a good day- she didnt care that we were leaving, in fact she seemed happy that we were going.. so that she could be left in peace to watch her beloved asian dramas.

    way to be sidelined.
