  • Wedding related stuff -update

    And so…

tonight my fiance and I will be meeting with our potential photographer. We saw their stand at the wedding expo and we’re quite interested.

Initially I had a few other people in mind including a long time friend who’s pretty good at what they do… but in the end.. we decided on meeting with this photographer.

Price had a LOT to do with it.

In all seriousness- it almost seems like we’re heading towards the tail end(not really) of it all. Having seen the costs upfront and what we’re up for.. almost kills me.

And so, if we can get a reasonable deal out of anything, that’s who we’re potentially going with.

In saying that though.. it also means we need to be able to get along with them.

For example: The girl at Escape Travel at the Glen Waverly store completely irritated me to no end. We originally went in to get some brochures on Bali (that’s where I’ll be going for my hens) and some brochures for honeymoon ideas. This girl kept pressing her ideas and insisted that she MUST be the one to organize my hens and honeymoon.. and any ideas that I had or liked, she shot down.

Because of this one person. I would never use Escape Travel- ever!

so in the end… we need to make sure we like the photographer..

    -_-

  • bad dreams

last night, i had this God awful dream that my fiance had left me for one of my friends- well i really cant call them a friend per se because we’re not exactly close.

and because i was so heartbroken, and angry.. i went and told her most damndest secret which could ruin her.

I dont even know why i know this secret… but i did..

and consequently after telling a few people- out of revenge, i felt sick in the stomach…

what was worst was that my fiance didnt come back to me, the result was still the same.

and then i woke up feeling completely horrid.

    -_-

have had a few retaraded dreams of being left behind..

    :(

  • allergies

there is a big possibility that I am allergic to my ring…

    -_-”

but there is no doubt that i am lactose intolerant.

    neither will stop me from

    a. wearing the ring

    b. continue to have dairy

    i’ll live

  • its over

my mum told me that an old high school friend of mine (who got engaged last year) had broken up with his fiance.

That relationship itself had been going on for almost 7 years… and even though he proposed (and she said yes),

they both decided to call it quits.

I remember some time ago when I had spoken to his then fiance (who was only his gf) and they were already having problems… and she didnt sound too happy. It sounded like they were going to break up.

then weeks later, they got engaged…

so i thought things had been fixed but apparently not.

in the end, you cant change the person you’re with. If you can’t accept them for what they are and how they treat you.. the best thing is to walk away

    and that’s what she did.

  • the hole in the ceiling

couple months back, our lovely roof starting leaking, and it damaged part of our ceiling..

we recently managed to get the roof tiles replaced, you need good weather for it- PLUS we live in a 2 storey building.

my dad is now “repairing” the ceiling section.

It has been 4 days, and there’s still dust everywhere.

at least there is no longer a big gaping hole in the ceiling.

just dust… and unpainted part of the ceiling -_-

  • the weekend

    have had a productive weekend..

    - went to a wedding expo… it wasn’t a big one but it was FREE and we got all the info we needed.

Will be booking in our car hire (found a company that we liked), and will be having 3 rolls royces taking us around. Awesome stuff! found the company initially online and they had a stand at the expo so we got to sit in the cars to see what it would be like. They answered lots of questions.. we were impressed!

    - visited the church to where we would be married. It is a large church but hey, it’s what my partner wants. Apparently his childhood dream to get married there. Don’t ask

    - visited the cake store except we couldnt put a deposit down. The cake store owner told us that he may be selling his business by the end of the year and couldnt guarantee if the new owners could deliver the cake we wanted. But we’d head back this time next year!

    - watched Jack Reacher, unfortunately as I kept running to the toilets, I missed all the important bits of the movie -_-

    - watched the first 2 twilight films with my partner. I fell asleep half way through each of them, however my other half thoroughly enjoyed them. a little too much actually!

-went to the Papparich restaurant in Glen Waverly, seriously not sure what the big fuss is about this eatery. Dozens of people are willing to line up outside to get a table.. i can honestly say, it was a major disappointment.

    it was a nice break…

    now back to work -_-

  • church it is!

    And so we discussed…

according to the other half… $1900 sounds “reasonable” for a Church wedding because after all it is “pretty”.

    -_-

I knew this was going to happen, when the fiance has his heart set on something, then it’s the path we’re going down.

So now we just need to pay the $250 deposit and book ourselves in for some therapy marriage classes that the church provides.

For a couple who’s not exactly religious per se, we’re doing the whole religious thing…Oh YEAH!!!

Good thing this church accepts “non” church people.. :D because I haven’t gone through the rigmarole of getting baptised etc. My parents are “apparently” buddhists, but i was sent to a Catholic school- so religiously: I am confused. HAHAHA

Next on the list is car hire!

  • the church costs how much?

so i got the figures for the church… of exactly how much it was going to hurt us in the hip pocket.

    there’s a $250 non refundable deposit.

and then there’s $1650 fee payable, this fee includes :

    • course preparation
    • ringing of the church bells
    • paperwork
    • celebrant/priest
    • setting up the church to make it look pretty
    • flower arrangements
    • orders of service and some music

there’s an extra fee of $150 should you want a soloist… and the costs vary dependent on who else u want to sing.

so a total of $1900 to get married a church my “fiance” finds pretty.

    what a rip…

he wants to “discuss” our options tonite…

  • hello 2013

and so my christmas/new years break is over.

I had a total 10 days off work, and whilst sitting here in my office- it does NOT feel like I’ve been away at all.

    which kinda sucks…

i didnt do anything spectacular…or go away..

and now- we welcome a new year- 2013..

i wonder what it’s going to be like…
