have been thinking of getting personalized number plates…
not sure if i want the european look or the standard combination of letters and numbers.

my parents have discovered the world of “external hdd’s”…
and my tech savvy uncle downloaded over 1TB of asian series for them…
and he explained to them “once you finish this, I can delete and load up another 1TB of asian series again”…
they’re so eggcited because they can forgo the “DVD’s”… because it was taking up space and costing lots of money (still better than VHS)
and now.. i have the awful task of “showing” them how to use it…
damn technology!
today i learnt that my name – Linda means beautiful in spanish..
so i guess when someone calls out my name- i should say “mucho gusto” – thank you very much
hahahahah
i know im lame.. but not as lame as my bf.. who said
“u can never blame me for not calling you beautiful”
yes you can facepalm now
it’s no secret that my sister moved out of home… well actually it is…
my parents put on this fake facade that everything is fine, and that my sister is just “out” with friends…especially when it comes to family. Mind you, we have a lot of family.
I think they do this because it’s better to keep up appearances than to admit defeat, that they cannot control their out of control daughter for starters. However, the other thing that we need to note that Moving out of home is not the worst possible thing that you can do. It’s just, in a traditional asian family, you just don’t leave unless it’s for work, school or getting married.
if someone asks me, i just tell them my sister moved out but nobody asks me.
if they ask my parents- she’s either on a holiday, at work, or hanging out with friends… which isn’t really a lie, except they should really say ‘she’s moved out’ but they don’t.
Partly because they want my sister to look somewhat respectable to family… i don’t know why they bother. I mean if she-being my sister, cared about half of those things, she wouldn’t have moved out or defied my parents on so many levels.
I don’t know.. this whole playing charade thing just does my head in.
You know what’s lame? every other family member who’s got a son/daughter who’s moved out for no reason at all, does exactly the same thing. Even though we all know that nobody lives in their home.. why all the trouble? because nobody likes to be gossip
-_-”
im a semi big fan of x factor, actually i just love watching the auditions.. but i noticed something (other than the US version of it) but it’s almost like the Spice Girls are slowly taking over X factor.. one by one.
in Australia- there’s Mel B (she’s fiesty as)
in the UK version- there’s Geri …
won’t be long until all of them- spice girls that is are judges on X factor.
you know what the irony was with Spice girls? as a group they were okay, but not all of them could sing.. and now they’re judges.. some bitchier than others.. arghz
how sad
-_-”
have gone back to swimming. spent 2 hrs yesterday at the swimming pools.
1hr doing laps up and down the pool.
1 hr walking up and down the pool, actually it was half way because the friend that joined me is kinda short and she can’t go further than 1.4m of the pool considering she’s only 148cm tall!
i find it so hard to get motivated but sometimes u gotta force yourself into doing it…
and best feeling ever when u achieve some exercise!!!
i keep telling myself.. 2kgs every month, thats all i need to get rid of
have started to notice that the entertainment industry in australia (especially tv ads) have started to incorporate Asians.
So much so that even my dad’s noticed.
So now when we watch tv, we scream out “ASIAN!”… makes watching tv so much more fun…
i did the crazy thing and joined the gym..
now i have to go swimming at least 3 times a week to make sure it’s worth every penny
working towards 2kgs per month… for the next 18mths
i think i can do it
so had my first spanish class today… -oh-lah!
and it’s hard.
learning another language is always hard.
but apparently it’s supposed to get easier with time… supposed to be.
but i think the classes are run pretty well,
today was basically introducing ourselves and learning to ask questions about where people lived…
can’t even count to ten yet -_-” oh man i got a long way to go.
wonder how long it takes before i become fluent.
perseverance i say!!!!
on other news- dont know why but my lips have been mega dry.. have been constantly putting on lipbalm but to no avail -_-” driving me absolutely nuts.
oh and my face is absolutely loving rosehip oil- i wish i got onto it a lot sooner. it’s really oily stuff but so nurturing for the skin.
tomorrow… i will start my Spanish classes with my friend.
yes, i am very random like that…
one night my friend and i were having dinner, and we saw across the road a place advertising that they taught spanish classes… and we decided on a whim that we’d try it out.
im hoping that i can attend all classes (would be a waste if i miss out on any) but excited nonetheless.
so there we are…
spanish classes – i wonder what i’d end up doing in a years time
