RIP Margaret Thatcher
Baroness Margaret Thatcher died today. She was UK’s longest serving Prime Minister. Serving as PM from 1979-1990.
She made a lot of changes during her time- I’m not going to write what they are. But if you’re interested you can check our her wikipedia page.
Whether her policies were great, terrific or just plain bad… it’s the nature of politics. A driven women with a vision, does that- makes changes. We don’t necessary always have to agree with it. That’s what democracy is about.
The people had the opportunity to vote her out but they never did. It was in fact her own party that got rid of her. She reign ended in 1990.
It astounds me, even after 23 years since she was Prime Minister, clearly people haven’t moved on and still so bitter about it. So much so, that upon her death, there were some VERY “classy” people who decided to party, some even held some placards. (please note, im being very sarcastic)

I’m just shocked that people are so brazen, in fact, that’s not the correct words to use. More like so insensitive and frankly downright disrespectful. I look at the lady with the poster “ding dong! the witch is dead!” and I just shake my head in disgust.. See, I couldn’t be proud holding a banner like that.
This is also a reflection on the people who do not have:
1. class
2. no respect
3. are clearly idiots
Irrespective of what Margaret Thatcher had done, didn’t do or should have done. This is something she clearly does not deserve. Even if you didn’t like her, it doesn’t mean it should be “celebrated” in this way. If she was Adolf Hitler, Pol Pot, a serial rapist or a murder, sure I could understand. But Margaret Thatcher did not massacre hundreds of thousands of people…
to have this kind of hatred is stupid..
I feel sorry for her family who have to endure this, especially after her death. Because no matter what, she was once the PM(the longest serving one too) and God Damn, she deserves some respect….
