not doing so good
Just had my “work health check” and I’m less than impressed with myself. The results are as follows:
The good:
- My total cholesterol (HDL and UDL) is 4.87. LDL is the bad cholesterol and HDL is the good one (that helps get rid of the bad one). Anything less than 5.5 is considered normal.
- My HDL cholesterol is 1.0. Anything 1.0 or more is good
- My blood pressure is 117/63. Basically i have normal blood pressure. which is good
The bad:
- My waist line(due to my over weightness) is 92cm. Anything over 88cm for women is HIGH Risk
- My blood glucose level for the day was 6.7 (didn’t help that 20minutes prior i drank a can of coke- yes you can facepalm) but the nurse mentioned that doctors wouldn’t consider it a problem unless it’s over 8.
- I don’t get my proper 5 servings of vegetables a day
So overall- I’m a medium to high risk of getting type 2 diabetes which I’m sure my NOVIO would love to hear. In fact, I can already imagine him cracking down on the coca-cola consumption and confiscating all the lollies I usually snack on.
But it’s really a big wake up call. Kinda scared that I might get sick.
Now more determined to lose 2kgs every month
