business class
As you know, I hate flying as it is, mainly because I need to be heavily medicated to fly or else last night’s dinner (or whatever my stomach manages to bring up) ends up in one of those sick bags (ewww!)
However, my lovely fiance has ruined flying for me for the rest of my life. Not because I get anymore sick…
but now… I’ve come to enjoy what is… BUSINESS class.
I mean what better way to spend my time flying and feeling sick… in complete and utter comfort.
Economy class is just… CRAP.
And I’ve come to realize something: When flying with a premium airline (such as Qantas/Emirates/Malaysian Airlines) it’s kinda offensive when you pay top dollar to even sit in economy(because let’s face it, the airfares for these companies are usually a LOT more than the cheapie airlines) . There is no real difference between economy seating in a crappier airline such as “Tiger” Airways or one that is of Qantas. Other than the “food” and “where you or how you board a plane”, the seating arrangements in economy have not changed as much. Which makes me think “what exactly is the point in flying with the premium companies to sit in cattle class when you’re cramped up anyway?
But BUSINESS class is a totally different ball game altogether, it’s not just the seating arrangements (there’s more leg space), you get better food, service, even better blankets…and when you look at the costs (oh man it shows).. how an airline can justify charging double and sometimes even triple the standard economy price is beyond me.
However, once you’ve flown business.. it makes you really hate economy..
On a sidenote: Just had the most pleasant conversation with Qantas about their club membership. The lady was as cranky as a dog who’s had their tail stepped on.
I like flying with them because they’re on time and generally quite professional.. but their call centre is a major let down.
