call or text..
One of my pet hates:
“I’ll be home around 7.30pm… because I’ll be leaving at 7″ and then I get told about some apparent “scheduled meeting” with a classmate.
Then 7.30pm comes, do I see your ass through the front door? Of course not!
7.45pm comes around and I make that phone call and I get told “I’m just about to leave now… we went over time… sorry”
sorry? sorry?!!?!??!
what the fuck? You had 45 fucken minutes to do something about it. You have a mobile phone that has a clock, You wear a watch for crying out loud. You could have called, You could have emailed or You could have texted. What is the point of carrying a mobile phone if You don’t even use it? Our phones are ladden with so much technology to COMMUNICATE to others in such circumstances as this.
A simple text to say “hey, going to be later than i thought. will call u when i finish” would have been fine. Because then people like me don’t have to wait around and/or don’t have to worry about someone like YOU
It’s so simple yet for SOME people it’s like the hardest fucken thing in the worldfor you to do. And then YOU wonder why someone like me gets so frustrated and angry… because it’s NOT the first time or the last time either.Even when I say on the phone “i dont think u’d be home by 7.30, more like 8.30″ and YOU think i’m being rude or being over dramatic. AM I? I know too well that 7.30pm is NEVER EVER going to happen because history tells me that you couldn’t be on time even if your life depended on it.
And then when I’m angry, I get a text that says:
“So what do you want me to do?”
what I want you to do is to stop giving a timeframe to which you, for unknown reasons, JUST CANNOT ADHERE TO. You set the time, you set an expectation. I’ve told you a million times not to do this but you do. It’s the most fucked up worst habit there is and fucken annoying.
I hate it when people are late, it shows tardiness and it shows lack of respect. I’m sure if you were to say to your bosses, colleagues, clients “i’ll be there at 7.30pm” then it will be 7.30pm. No in fact, you would be there at 7pm. Yet when it comes to me and anything to do socially, the tardiness sets in.
FRANKLY THIS ISN’T JUST GOOD ENOUGH. If some fucken swanky CEO can have YOUR attention and making sure you’re going to be on time. Then what difference am i? other than my Job title doesn’t say I’m a CEO or that I’m a client? It shouldn’t make a damned difference.
No one else should except this lack of respect or tardiness, so why the frying frack am i going to continue to put up with this rubbish behaviour.
seriously… just not good enough.
